Help us spread the word–donate now to support Black String Revival

Despite nearing extinction in the last century, the African-American string band traidition is on the rise again, thanks to a select group of musicians devoted to the art form. Black String Revival tells their story, and it needs your help to get it done.

Fretless Films is producing “Black String Revival” on a non-profit basis as a labor of love. Our goal is to match our $6,000 grant from The Minnesota State Arts Board with private contributions. In order to meet that goal, we are seeking donations of $25.00, $50.00, or $100.00.

To make a fully tax-deductible donation through our 501C-3 non-profit fiscal sponsor, please send a check payable to The Independent Feature Project North to the address below.

In the meantime, we invite you to support this music by simply coming out to the show and seeing this incredible music firsthand. If you're interested in the background and context of this music, and the Carolina Chocolate Drops in particular, we'd love for you to read Meghan Dudle's brief essay on what you'll see at the November 12 show.

Thanks for your support!
